| Prof. Jie ZhangCentral South University Professor Jie Zhang obtained a PhD in Traffic and Transportation Engineering from Central South University (CSU) in 2015 and then completed a three-year post-doctoral fellowship at Chalmers University of Technology. In 2018, he became a professor at CSU's School of Traffic and Transportation Engineering and is currently the Head of the Electric Locomotive Research Center. He holds several roles, including Section Editor of Transportation Safety and Environment and Chair of the GD03-Rail Transportation Operation Safety and Environment at the 3rd World Transport Convention. As a principal investigator, he has led multiple projects, including funding from China's National Key R&D Program and the National Natural Science Foundation. He has published 140 articles with approximately 3,000 citations and holds an H-index of 30. He also has 4 international patents and 12 Chinese patents as the first inventor, receiving various awards for his research contributions. In 2023, he was recognized with the Science and Technology Innovation Program award from Hunan Province and named a Shenghua Scholar at CSU. Additionally, he was listed among the Top 2% Scientists Worldwide by Stanford University in 2023 and 2024. His research focuses on train aerodynamics and traffic safety, specifically improving aerodynamic performance related to drag and crosswind stability, and has practical applications in railways in windy regions and high-speed trains like the CRH380BG and Fuxing. |
| Prof. Shaohua LuoGuizhou University Professor Shaohua Luo is the Associate Director of the Guizhou Provincial Key Laboratory of Intelligent Mountain Agricultural Equipment and a Provincial Outstanding Young Sci-Tech Talent. He leads a Provincial Innovation Research Group and serves on the First New Energy Agricultural Equipment Engineering Committee of the Chinese Society of Agricultural Engineering. He is also an Associate Editor for the journal Fuzzy Information and Engineering and a Youth Editorial Board Member for Transactions of the Chinese Society of Agricultural Engineering. His research specializes in the dynamic analysis, circuit design, and intelligent control of electromechanical systems and networks, encompassing hardware design, embedded development, and software integration. Recently, he has led projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China and key provincial initiatives, contributing to programs like the national "863 Program." Professor Luo has made significant advancements in areas such as MEMS/NEMS, autonomous systems, and high-performance electromechanical drives. He has published over 70 research papers and holds more than 30 invention patents, including in the U.S. and the UK, with 5 patents commercialized. He has received the Second Prize of the Excellence Fund and has over four years of engineering experience in various enterprises. |
| Prof. Fengming DuDalian Maritime University Du Fengming is a professor, doctoral supervisor, and postdoctoral fellow in Naval Architecture and Ocean Engineering at Dalian Maritime University, with main research fields including friction and wear of internal combustion engines, material design, and artificial intelligence. He has been awarded titles such as Talent of Liaoning Province's "Hundred, Thousand and Ten Thousand Talents Project", "Dalian Young Science and Technology Star", "Dalian High-Level Talent - Young Elite", and Talent of the "Xinghai Project", and won the Liaoning Provincial Natural Science Academic Achievement Award (ranked 1st). | Prof. Giuseppe CarboneUniversità della Calabria Giuseppe Carbone has got his PhD degree in Robotics from the University of Cassino, Italy, in 2004 He has been visiting professor at Universidad Carlos III of Madrid, Beihang University, Waseda University, and several other well-reputed International Research Institutions. From 2024 he has joined East China Jiaotong University. From 2020 he is Chair of IFToMM TC on Robotics and Mechatronics. From 2018 he has joined University of Calabria, Italy. From 2018 to 2021 he has been Visiting professor at Sheffield Hallam University, UK where he served as Senior Lecturer and member of the Executive board of Sheffield Robotics from 2015 to 2017. He has been Scientific Director of the International Research Laboratory Intelligent Robotic Systems and Technologies. Among others he is Editor-in-Chief of Robotica Journal (Cambridge Univ. Press), Section EIC of Journal of Bionic Engineering, MDPI Robotics, MDPI Machines, Technical Editor of IEEE/ASME Transactions on Mechatronics. He has been PI or co-PI of more than 20 projects including 7th European Framework and H2020 funds. He has received more than 20 Best Paper awards and more than 10 International Best Patent awards. His research interests cover aspects of Engineering Design, Mechanics of Robots, Mechanics of Manipulation and Grasp, Mechanics of Machinery with over 500 research paper outputs, 20 patents, and 16 Phd completions (8 ongoing). He has been also member of 20 PhD evaluation Commissions in Italy, Spain, Finland, UK, Romania, Mexico, India. He has been invited to deliver Keynote speeches and lectures on his research activity at more than 30 International events.
